Trades and practical CV template that leads with your tickets.

For work where your tickets and availability matter as much as your history. A band under your name shows when you can start and how you get to work, then your qualifications, tickets and licences with their expiry dates.

Tips

Make it count.

What hiring managers look for, and how to get the most from this template.

  1. 01

    List tickets with expiry dates

Safe Pass, Manual Handling, Working at Heights, CSCS cards and HACCP, each with the date it's valid to.

  2. 02

    Say when you can start

Use the band at the top for availability, the shifts you can work, your driving licence and whether you have your own transport.

  3. 03

    Show your trade qualification

Give your QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate (Craft) or apprenticeship, and who you served your time with.

  4. 04

    Add recent projects

Two or three jobs and what you did on them: a housing scheme, a fit-out or a kitchen opening.

  5. 05

    Keep it short and clear

Site managers and owners are busy. One or two pages is plenty.
