Tips
Make it count.
What hiring managers look for, and how to get the most from this template.
- 01
Write the profile for the job you want
Three or four sentences: who you are, your strongest experience and what you want next. Adjust it for each application.
- 02
Start bullets with what you did
Open with a verb such as Led, Cut or Launched, and add a number where you can: how many, how much, how fast.
- 03
Detail recent roles, trim older ones
Four to six bullets for your current role, one or two for jobs from ten years ago.
- 04
Mirror the job ad's words
If the ad asks for "stakeholder management", use that phrase where it's true for you. Recruiters and tracking systems both look for it.
- 05
Add your LinkedIn
Most recruiters look you up before calling. Make sure your profile matches your CV.
